Removal Instructions
Assembly Instructions-Twist Lock Style
| Step 1: Place the filter element into the housing making sure the three "ears" on the element fall into their slots in the housing. |

| Step 2: Gently push the filter element straight down into the housing. |

| Step 3: Twist filter element 1/3 turn clockwise (to the right), then let the element spring back up into the locked position. |
 |
| Step4: Make sure the three filter element ears are fully engaged in the housing notches. As the filter tightens on the engine the filter element will tighten against the housing which will eliminate any play. |

Removal Instructions - Twist Lock Style
| Step 1: Grasp the filter housing in one hand. To prevent scratching the filter housing use care when setting the filter on any surfaces. (a paper towel or small cloth works nice as a pad) |

| Step 2: Gently push the filter element straight down into the housing. |

| Step 3: Twist filter element 1/3 turn counter clockwise (to the left) |
|
| Step4: Release the filter element. It should spring up through the 3 slots in the filter housing. You can now remove the filter element for inspection and cleaning (see cleaning instructions) |
